Solid colors are usually the best. Patterns and too much accessorizing can detract from your unique look and compete for attention. White is a popular to wear at the beach or other outdoor locations, but bright colors are better to accent your face in portraits. When photographing newborns, it is best for the parent or family member to wear black in order to better disguise any helping hands and arms in the backgrond.
Usually, your gallery will be available for viewing within 2 business days following your photo session. Once you place an order, flash drive and / or digital image gallery delivery of hi-res files can be ready within 2-3 business days and prints are ready in approximately 8-10 business days. Specialty items such as canvases and framed collages take more time.
Since each photo session is unique, the total number of images will vary for each client. Image counts will differ based on how many subjects are photographed and the specifics of each session.
A gallery contains the high-resolution, printable images from your online gallery. Each file is sized to at least 4x6 at 300 dpi. This size will print nicely up to 11x14. Your gallery will also include a release that gives you the right to make unlimited copies for your personal use. You may print them at home, have them printed at a lab, or share them online with family and friends. Other custom prints and products may be ordered separately.
When you purchase the digital files, you are buying the rights to reproduce the images for your personal use. You are free to print those files and share them online. Creative Focus with Cindy still owns the copyright to those images which means you cannot alter them, claim them as your own, or submit them for publication. As a courtesy, images purchased as prints will be made available to you in low resolution for sharing online.
Newborns are best photographed within the first two (2) weeks of age, preferably around one (1) week old. After two weeks, they are less likely to sleep or curl up.
We all know that kids occasionally have a tantrum or cry. Calming and reassuring words are the best way to foster a recovery more successfully. We will take a break, get a snack, or a drink, look at a toy or book, and then try again. The photo session time frame is your time. I build flexibility into the session to allow for any impromptu needs with children, babies, wardrobe changes, etc. — this makes for a more productive and pleasant experience for all.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact me at least one (1) week before the session date so your deposit can be applied to another session. If you do not call to re-schedule or you do not show up to the session, you will forfeit your deposit.
Please don't bring your child to the session if he/she is sick. You won't get the kind of images you want. If your child becomes sick the night before or the morning of your session, please call to re-schedule and your deposit will be applied to another session.
